How to install the Active X Control

Requirements

 Internet Explorer 5.5 or later

IBM Compatible PC Running windows 98 or later

(You must let the active X control install to view the maps.  Maps can be viewed by any windows machine running IE4 or above.   Set security settings to low to let the control install.  In custom settings set all related active x controls to prompt. 

 Right Click on Internet Explorer

Click on Security

Click on custom Level

Active X Control and plug-ins

            Download signed ActiveX controls

            Click Prompt

            Download unsigned ActiveX controls

Click Prompt

Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as save

Click Prompt

            Run ActiveX controls and Plug ins

            Click Enable

Script ActiveX controls marked safe for Scripting

Click Enable

Close window

 

Do a tax search

click on the property you want to view

Click on the map number

When the Map Screen appears install the Active X control

This will take about 7 to 10 min

You can then print maps by clicking on

File>Print

Note: you can use the expand and zoom buttons to make the map take up more of the screen..

You can also Print in Landscape mode...

 

If this does not work...  goto ftp://63.160.107.117

drag and drop the New Folder to your desktop...  Note it is a lage file so it will take a while

open the folder...   run the setup.exe.. follow instructions...  install active x controls only....

this will install the activex... 

If this still does not allow you to view a map...after intallation is complete...  click

start... run... typec:\windows\system32\regsvr32 -u  ltocx12n.ocx  enter

this will unistall the activex

type c:\windows\system32\regsvr32   ltocx12n.ocx  enter

this will reinstall the activex

after you can view maps...  delete the new folder from your desktop
